Movie List

This list is mostly complete. However, a lot of additional information is lacking, such as AKA titles and IMDB links. Also, the whole country classification thingie should be considered a work in progress. Most of my Asian movies are filed under their English titles. This, however, is a work in progress, and will be fixed some day very soon (as in before the end of the year, or maybe the following).

There's a crate of DVD's that i haven't slapped into the database yet. Some day when i finish unpacking i will add them, but again, it's "any day soon" (see above). I'm also undecided as to whether The World At War should have 30-odd entries or just one, so for now it's completely omitted.

None of these are for sale or trade. This is merely a showoff to feed my ego. However, if you bring beer and peanuts i'm sure you can watch a couple of them here.

To add to the confusion, i have tried to categorize several movies in an SQL-friendly way, so you will find "A Day At The Races" under "M" for "Marx Brothers" and "The Corsican Brothers" under "C", as it should be, but under "Cheech & Chong". You get the idea.

And even more confusing, i am trying to go for the original titles in their original languages, meaning "Black Cat, White Cat" is filed under "C" for "Crna Macka, Beli Macor". There is currently no way to look up AKA titles. If i figure out something smart i will add it, but i doubt it.

To top off the confusion, Wintendo XP with a Danish locale chokes on certain letters such as Czech and Polish accentuated letters. I have TRIED to add proper accents, but it is an ongoing work in progress with a very low to-do priority. Also, my French and Spanish are both fairly shite, so some titles aren't accentuated properly. Go blow me and i might care.

And movies starting with an accentuated character (like Üvegtigris) cannot be browsed by name, only by country. I think this is the only movie i have that starts with a special character, though.

Most, but not all, anime is flagged as being such. This is mostly to eliminate confusion in cases such as Metropolis and Battle Angel Alita, where both motion and animated versions exist (the motion picture of the latter is still unfinished though).

Oh yeah, a happy little smiley such as Favourite means it's a favourite of mine. This, too, is a work in progress, but is pretty much complete.
Total number of entries: 1082
